Wow, okay so it's been like forever since I wrote in this thing, but Micah started doing it again and I realized how much I miss livejournal.

The past 2 years have been the weirdest of my life, without a doubt. After Katrina, things kind of went to shit. I was supposed to move like 3 times and it never ended up happening, but did end up costing me $1500 dollars, that I will never see again, boo that. However I did get out of a really weird relationship that neither of us was benefiting from, so I guess it worked out okay.

I did actually move to Memphis for awhile until I got mugged and was the victim of racial profiling, fun times! There were aspects of Memphis I really enjoyed, but I don't think it was right for me. So I moved home to work at a job that I once loved, but now deem a lost cause. I was working as the youth minister at a church for like 4 years and now feel like I accomplished nothing due to the lack of adult guidance. Thanks for nothing, you big badjagaloop!

So, this past spring got really interested in politics and got offered some internships, that was cool. Worked with MS Senate on passing legislation regarding that whole no-child left behind crap and eliminating sexual predators from child-friendly areas.

So, in like February of this year my dad was hounding me to join the Air Force again and finally was like why don't you move to Colorado. I visited on my spring break and fell in love with the place, (not to mention the bountiful supply of cute guys). So, I moved out here the beginning of June and am happier right now than I can remember being in a long time. I'm kind of anxious to see what this place has in store for me. I have a really fun job with plenty of eye candy and have started making some nice friends.

I must now continue to fight with schools, when will it ever end? So, that for the most part sums up my life the past 2 years, any other questions....I might have an answer for. So, keeping with the origin of my being....I'll catch ya on the flipside--peace out!

Compare Journals A Year Ago to Journals Today

Okay, so everyone else has officially updated on here so I might as well. I've had quite an interesting past 2 months. First off I broke everything off w/ a guy I was dating for almost 3 years. As I told him "I felt he was conforming too much to the world while I was trying to change it." So, that's done and over with and looking back on it, it's totally for the best. I leave for Memphis on August 7th, I got a full paid scholarship to a school up there where I will be doing what I was put on earth to do. Primarily I'll be working with the Memphis Inner City Outreach Program, my parents aren't too thrilled b/c Memphis is a pretty rough town, but they'll live. In the spring I'll be traveling to Cambodia. The past month I've been working to help buy young girls out of the sex slave trade, so I've been raising money or donating it myself (which explains why I'm totally broke). All in all we've bought 6 girls out of the trade and sent them to the Rappha House. Anywho hopefully in the spring I'll be going with Jaush to Cambodia. After we buy the girls out of slavery we send them to the Rappha House where they're given extensive therapy and counseling, a formal education, good Christian devotions, and they can even learn certain trades they're if they want. It's a really great cause and something I'm pretty passionate about right now. In the summer I will be going to live on a Navajo Indian Reservation if everything pans out. I just got my certificate (license, whatever you wanna call it) in caseworking last week, so I'm hoping that'll be able to help me with the outreach program. I recently quit 2 out of my 4 jobs so I have a little more time for me right now. Met some really interesting people lately that have helped me give great contacts for the future. Anyways, it's pretty late and I know I'm forgetting stuff, so I'll continue this another time. As always, I'll catch y'all on the flipside--peace out!

Picture it:. . . Senior year, on our way home from competition in Alabama. We somehow convince truck-driver Marge to stop at a Chevron cuz everyone has to pee. ::wink wink:: She tells us if we come back with any candy we're walking home. So everyone proceeds orderly to the bathroom ::nudge nudge:: Scott Gordon's at the check-out counter telling us if we want anything he'll pay for it w/ his Chevron card. A chaperone walks in and sees what's going on and screams for everyone to get on the bus. Everyone scatters trying to jump back on the bus. Marge starts to pull away and then realizes we've left someone. So Scott's running of the gas station with chips and candy bars flying out of his shirt and he's trying to jump on the back of the bus through the emergency exit. Marge raises a suspiscious eye and he claims he's just constupated. Scott makes it onto the bus and passes out the goodies and the bill of $67.00 that got charged to his Chevron card.

Moral of the story: never offer to pay for 40 teenagers food with your parent's credit card.

Sorry, that memory just popped in my head out of nowhere tonight. That and the Eros and Josh Farnsworth story. I was laughing so hard I almost drove my car off the road and crashed. I guess you just had to be there. If you were a senior on that trip, hopefully you'll remember what I'm talking about, contradictory to popular belief there were actually some good times in the LB.

    <lj:music>"Waffle"--Sevendust</lj:music>

December 28th cannot come soon enough. I think I've surpassed the point of missing home and am not just so eager to get away from my family that desertion doesn't even matter anymore. I feel like a hypocrite because I always say that you should never run from your problems, but it's now gotten to the point where I believe my problems here are beyond fixing. I can't wait to have freedom and to not have to put up with the bullshit that I encounter everyday. I want the life that people my age are supposed to have. I can't wait to be able to come and go as I please, do whatever I want, whenever I want and not have to answer to anyone. This place that I used to hold so dear to me is now just a "barren wasteland" with hopes of it becoming better in the next 5 to 10 years. So, the way I see it. . .I go down to FL, finish school, get myself established and in the next 5 years or so if MS is back to normal, possibly come back. But right now, I can't, I can't be around my parents anymore, I can't live the sheltered life they want me to anymore. I have no freedom, no peace of mind, no individuality, no nothing. I want to go to FL, go to school, be able to hang out with friends whenever I want, live the way a 21 year old should. I've spent 20 years doing what everyone else wants me to do. . .well, you know what I have to say to that. . .fuck that, it's all about Desiree now. It's time I start living my life for me and noone else. BUT, unfortunately until the end of December I can't do that. I'm still stuck trying to be Marcia fucking Brady for my parents. So, I guess in retrospective I've figured out my New Year's resolution. That's how I feel about the situation. So yeah, in other news. . .I've really been procrastinating this whole packing thing. They're sawing my house in half and all this other shit, so I have to pack my stuff early. But yeah, I've yet to start that. I guess I've gotta figure out what I'm taking to FL with me and what's staying here and all that fun shit. Just got done watching "The Skeleton Key". . .freaky ass movie! I have to make yet another attempt tomorrow to teach dance, that's always fun. Went and hung out with Daniel and Chad the other night. That was some fun times! Went and met Daniel when he got off work, then went back to his place and chilled till Chad came over with the drinks. Had some presidente margaritas from Chili's and some drink of Chad's "Indulge". Then I gave up on those and went straight for the Crown. I played Dance Dance Revolution drunk off my ass, it was great. Yep, fun times! Ummm. . .not a whole lot to say right now, just trying to woosaa myself down.

Okay, so my life has gotten extremely interesting lately. The end of December I will be moving to Bradenton, FL. Quite a big step for me, but long overdue I believe. I'll only be asking for trouble given my roommates (j/k). I think it's gonna be a blast and a lot less stressful for me than my current situation. The opportunities just look so much better, the in-state tuition, job opportunities, more social interaction, etc. . .! The past few weeks have really taken a toll on me physically and emotionally I guess you could say. With my work schedule I feel as if I'm physically deteriorating. Emotionally. . .well, let's just say I'll be driving down the road and hear a song that reminds me of a past event in my life and I'll look out the window and the memory is gone along with everything that helped make that memory so great. It's really depressing, everything I've ever known, just gone. . .This has also helped make me realize that as much as I've professed to hate this place, this is my home, it always will be. I hope to return in a few years when things are better, they'll never be the same, but hopefully they won't be as bad as they are now. My job has left me completely stressed and it's really tiring to deal with the new level of sexual harrassment I have to put up with on a daily basis. I mean I've dealt with it before, but this is just an all-time high. It blows! In other news, I have to have surgery on my knee Monday, my life (dancing, sports, band, cheerleading) has caught up with me. So, I will be left crippled for a few days. On the bright side, I leave for my happy place Thursday. Thursday afternoon I'm leaving to go to our farm. Mom decided we needed a weekend away from the devastation, so we're driving up there for some much needed rest and relaxation (and an all-day shopping trip on Friday). So anyways. . .I have to get to physical therapy now, so I'll catch ya on the flipside--peace out!

P.S. Candice--why don't we go to Tahiti? And where did our shaman go?

***That mouse's latte looks good, must go to PJ's!***

    <lj:music>"Two Steps Behind"--Def Leppard</lj:music>

After the storm, it's okay to say I'm alive, but I'm certainly down and out. I've just been in such a sour mood lately due to the abrupt topsy-turvying of my life. I've lost a few friends, both my jobs, part of my house and definitely my sanity. In order to try and make my life better and give myself opportunities I've decided to make a drastic change. So many changes taking place lately, it's like I'm driving down the hwy at 90 miles an hour, the brakes don't work and I have no way to stop. I can either get where I'm going faster or crash and burn. Well, when you put it that way. . .I'm not trying to complain, ahhh screw it I am. . .I work 60 hours a week/5 days a week and go to school the other 2. I have to drive an hour north of here every morning at 4 am to get work and I'm just quite frankly exhausted. My arm has been in a mobilizing sling attached to my stomach for the past 4 days b/c I can't find a doctor who'll perform my surgery right now. 3 months in counting. . .and then the real challenge of character will come into play. Am I who I always professed to be or am I scared of change? I heard a song on the radio this morning that sank me back into a previous time. Now I'm just extremely confused and trying to convince myself of something. It's no one's fault but my own, I put myself in this predicament. Does anyone else around here hate the traffic as much as I do? I am now a believer more than ever that Hwy 49 and Pass Rd are the anti-Christ. . .hmmm, that is all! I'll catch y'all on the flipside--peace out!

    <lj:music>"Nice Guys Finish Last"--Blink 182</lj:music>

This is a tribute to the nice guys. The nice guys that finish last, that never become more than friends, that endure hours of whining and bitching about what assholes guys are, while disproving the very point. This is dedicated to those guys who always provide a shoulder to lean on but restrain themselves to tentative hugs, those guys who hold open doors and give reassuring pats on the back and sit patiently outside the changing room at department stores. This is in honor of the guys that obligingly reiterate how cute/beautiful/smart/funny/sexy their female friends are at the appropriate moment, because they know most girls need that litany of support. This is in honor of the guys with open minds, with laid-back attitudes, with honest concern. This is in honor of the guys who respect a girl's every facet, from her privacy to her theology to her clothing style.

This is for the guys who escort their drunk, bewildered female friends back from parties and never take advantage once they're at her door, for the guys who accompany girls to bars as buffers against the rest of the creepy male population, for the guys who know a girl is fishing for compliments but give them out anyway, for the guys who always play by the rules in a game where the rules favor cheaters, for the guys who are accredited as boyfriend material but somehow don?t end up being boyfriends, for all the nice guys who are overlooked, underestimated, and unappreciated, for all the nice guys who are manipulated, misled, and unjustly abandoned, this is for you.

This is for that time she left 40 urgent messages on your cell phone, and when you called her back, she spent three hours painstakingly dissecting two sentences her boyfriend said to her over dinner. And even though you thought her boyfriend was a chump and a jerk, you assured her that it was all ok and she shouldn't worry about it. This is for that time she interrupted the best killing spree you'd ever orchestrated in GTA3 to rant about a rumor that romantically linked her and the guy she thinks is the most repulsive person in the world. And even though you thought it was immature and you had nothing against the guy, you paused the game for two hours and helped her concoct a counter-rumor to spread around the floor. This is also for that time she didn't have a date, so after numerous vows that there was nothing serious between the two of you, she dragged you to a party where you knew nobody, the beer was awful, and she flirted shamelessly with you, justifying each fit of reckless teasing by announcing to everyone: "oh, but we're just friends!" And even though you were invited purely as a symbolic warm body for her ego, you went anyways. Because you're nice like that.

The nice guys don't often get credit where credit is due. And perhaps more disturbing, the nice guys don't seem to get laid as often as they should. And I wish I could logically explain this trend, but I can't. From what I have observed on campus and what I have learned from talking to friends at other schools and in the workplace, the only conclusion I can form is that many girls are just illogical, manipulative bitches. Many of them claim they just want to date a nice guy, but when presented with such a specimen, they say irrational, confusing things such as "oh, he's too nice to date, or he would be a good boyfriend but he's not for me, or he already puts up with so much from me, I couldn't possibly ask him out!" or the most frustrating of all: "no, it would ruin our friendship." Yet, they continue to lament the lack of datable men in the world, and they expect their too-nice-to-date male friends to sympathize and apologize for the men that are jerks. Sorry, guys, girls like that are beyond my ability to fathom. I can't figure out why the connection breaks down between what they say (I want a nice guy!) and what they do (I'm going to sleep with this complete ass now!). But one thing I can do, is say that the nice-guy-finishes-last phenomenon doesn't last forever.

There are definitely many girls who grow out of that train of thought and realize they should be dating the nice guys, not taking them for granted. The tricky part is finding those girls, and even trickier, finding the ones that are single.

So, until those girls are found, I propose a toast to all the nice guys. You know who you are, and I know you're sick of hearing yourself described as ubiquitously nice. But the truth of the matter is, the world needs your patience in the department store, your holding open of doors, your party escorting services, your propensity to be a sucker for a pretty smile. For all the crazy, inane, absurd things you tolerate, for all the situations where you are the faceless, nameless hero, my accolades, my acknowledgement, and my gratitude go out to you. You do have credibility in this society, and your well deserved vindication is coming.

    <lj:music>"The Transition"--Hawthorne Heights</lj:music>

And the bullshit continues. . .

Had another wonderful "you're going nowhere with your life" talk with Dad. God, he always makes me feel so fuckin' chipper. I'm sick of him crawling up my ass sideways telling me how to live my life. He wants to know why I'm not done with school yet, to which I couldn't honestly tell him without starting another fight so I just bit my tongue and listened to his nagging. How the hell am I supposed to tell him, I'm not done yet b/c I don't have the initiative. My heart's not really in majoring what I'm in, but my dad decided that this would be the best career choice for me. I don't understand his logic behind me busting my ass to pay for all of my schooling, but yet I'm not allowed to major in what I want to or go to the school that I want to. I don't qualify for any kind of financial aid so I'm screwed in that category. His biggest concern is that when I turn 23 I lose all of my military benefits (i.e. insurance). I'm tired of him telling me I need to behave like an adult and take responsibility for things. If you treat me like a fuckin' 10 year old, how do you expect me to act like an adult, fuck you!

In other news. . .apparently some of my kids read my last journal and got upset by my stating my honest feelings on the current situation with some of them. I'm not mad at all of them or disappointed, but there are a few who have this amazing ability to drive me insane and make me want to commit murder. I will however have a "coming to Jesus" meeting with one tonight. The shit this child is stirring up has GOT to stop, no questions asked. I've never wanted to physically hit someone before in my life, but this child has made me rethink that. Sunday night Justin was having a bad night, so I went and kidnapped him and went to Dairy Queen. Then after practice he still wasn't in the best mood, so I took him to some "key" places that would help him understand some things. The boy finally relaxed and took my advice on his situation and it worked. After talking to him that night, I realized why I get so involved with the kids and it all became clear to me.

So, I'm not really sure what all else to write about. Micah and I have been having a rough past couple of days but we're doing better. December's such a long time, but I've done it before and I guess I'll just have to get back in the swing of how to do it again. He went to a Flickerstick concert without me the other night, so death becomes him, lol! Anyways. . .

I think I'm getting sick, I haven't been feeling too well and haven't gotten a decent night of sleep in awhile. I downed a bottle of Nyquil last night and slept pretty well for the first time in quite some time. Running out of things to write about, I think I'm gonna go to the gym for awhile before my appointment with my massage therapist. Alright, well I'll catch y'all on the flipside--peace out!

"Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity!"

    <lj:music>"Edge of Seventeen"--Stevie Nicks</lj:music>

Ummm. . .alright. So Wednesday night I skipped out on going to see my kids b/c I'm just so fed up w/ the current situation. I talked to Jeff about it and he didn't seem to show much interest even after I pointed out the problem areas. I'm so tired of talking to a lump of coal. I think my kids take everything for granted. They're so used to the over-priviliged life style and I've got an idea of how to change it. They no longer respect anyone or anything, not even themselves. They no longer have any drive or initiative and they don't care about the consequences of their actions. I just feel like I'm no longer doing them any good, like I'm now nothing more than a glorified baby-sitter. Okay, so yeah. . .all that's going on. After talking to Jeff I got a better phone call. My best friend is coming home to me (don't you back out again, or I'll cut you!). He's supposed to be coming home in late December or so, I hope. He's one of the only things that helps keep me sane, lol!

Okay, so yesterday I went and picked up my books, got my parking decal and all that good stuff. I was gonna have to buy a new student id (which I NEVER use), but the guy told me if I smiled pretty he'd give it to me for free, awesome! Went and got some more crickets for Fluffy.

Okay, so. . .let me tell you what happened! I'm driving down 90 on the way home and I'm stopped at a stop-light. This little white car pulls up behind me and is so far up my ass that I can't even see the hood of their car. So when the light changes to green the car pulls right up beside me (her windows are down and so are mine), she proceeds to flip me off. I scream out "no thank you, your boyfriend did a good enough job last night of satisfying me." She freakin' tries to ram into the side of me. Then we have a high-speed car chase down 90 in Long Beach. She gets right up next to me and is about to slam into me again when I quickly turn down Jeff Davis and speed out of sight. It was freakin' awesome!

So nothing else has really happened. Went to work today and started getting ready for Halloween and what not. Now I have to go settle a little civil dispute before I'm out $200. If I weren't such a patient person I would definitely hate kids! Off to get something to eat and refrain from killing a minor, wish me luck! I'll catch y'all on the flipside--peace out!

Alright, lack of updates, I'm sorry. . .my apologies. Okay, so I survived another weekend of work. Got all my stuff straightened out so they're no longer trying to screw up my schedule. What else? Sunday night the shit hit the fan, it's times like this that I hate my job. I'm just stuck at a crossroads so often. I'm caught between trying to be a mentor and a friend. Ummm. . .okay, Monday night went great in my opinion, had a lot of much needed fun. Definitely have to do it again. Well anyways while I was over there got a call from my parents saying my grandfather had come in town so whenever I got home to not go in my room. Got home at like 2 am and my mom had left some pajamas on the couch and made it up into a bed for me and everything, how sweet! So, Dad and I bsed around the majority of yesterday. We did however go see the realtor about a couple of houses, I called Ms. Mary Ann and scheduled an appointment and did some other random things. I've gotta call Ms. Patsy and schedule an appointment, I'm wanting to do something different with my hair but curly hair is not the easiest to maintain and you're left with limited options. Anyways don't have a whole lot left to say. My love octagon is still as complicated as ever, lol. I'm really looking into the whole nunnery thing. Guess I better go, gotta go teach some dance routines to some youngens. I'll catch y'all on the flipside--peace out!

We as a nation no longer worship morals and values, and etc. . .we worship hypocrisy and being judgemental. My day has so just been made by ignorant people. If I actually cared I would take the time to point out exactly what I mean but I really don't care that much. Oh well, having a really great day, probably have a lot of fun tonight. Can't wait for tomorrow night, I'm going to go try to quit choking from laughing so hard. Hope everyone is doing well. . .much to love to all! Peace. . .

P.S.
Okay. . .Dad's being a dick trying to up my rent now. If I wish to take a day off work, I have to consult with him first and get it approved. Horse you know what! So, yeah I'm really looking for an out here. I'm paying for my school but yet I'm not allowed to go to the school I wish to. And many other problems besides that. Oh wait, am I allowed to gripe about how life's not perfect for everyone? I know some people get annoyed by people writing about problems they might encounter, BUT. . .not everyone of us have a perfect life. There are some of us who have to work for things and who do have troubles and problems. I know you may be asking what are these things that you speak of, but I wouldn't expect someone in your position to understand. Good luck the day the silver spoon comes out of your mouth, hopefully soon before you choke on it! In other news, weather's dreary so it's put a semi-damper on my mood. At mom's right now while she's interviewing people and stuff, whatever. Totally craving a Cookie Dough Blast from Sonic, yes and many other random thoughts.

Oh, my internet's acting up right now (death to Cableone), so if anyone wants to talk or needs me for anything, you might have to call. Sorry! Anyways, I'll catch you on the flipside--peace out!

I feel bad for people who don't believe in karma. Karma is a bitch! There are just some people in the world who are so pathetic that you can't help but laugh at them for their ignorance to the real world and how it works. Somebody really upset myself and a friend of mine earlier today, but my friend advised me that I should be the mature one in the situation. Word to the wise: anyone can be a bitch, some better than others at it. BUT, when it comes down to it, it takes a MUCH bigger person to walk away and ignore the ignorance and immaturity of these people. I'm sorry to those of you who suffer from this disease called being naive.

~~As Maya Angelou once said: "It is not through effort alone that I have what I have. That would be impossible. It is the grace of God--I make no mistake!~~

So I was going through my junk drawer earlier (drawer that holds old letters, photos, etc. . .) and I found a poem someone wrote for me. While reading this it was almost as if I was on a high-speed train, rewinding then replaying in fast forward all the events of that time. I was in tears while reading it and I don't know why. I've read it a million times, had it memorized at one point in time, but this was the only time I think I've ever cried while reading it and I'm not really sure why.

I'm still left in confusion about something that happened last night/this evening. I think when it boils down to it, all any girl wants is consistency. I've never been more frustrated and bewildered. What I wouldn't give to go back to 2nd grade when all boys still had cooties. I'm not coming any closer to making myself be understood and I'm getting exhausted trying, it's a no-win situation.

So I thought about going to New Orleans again tonight after someone pissing me off earlier. I got paid today, but I knew if I had gone, my entire paycheck would be gone as well. Plus, I figured I'd let Miles recooperate for a few days before I bombarded him again, lol!

Worried about some of my friends, they just seem really stressed lately. I know it must sound completely absurd for me to care about someone other than myself, but there are people in the world who do that. Who would've thought? ::shrugs in sarcasm::. . .So, yeah to all my friends and people who matter, whatever you may be going through, you'll never be alone. Some words of encouragement, straight from Grams:

--May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand.--

So, because of a screw-up at work, I'm off tomorrow but have to go in to work Saturday. It wouldn't be so bad except for my kids are having a lock-in and I have to control 100+ unruly teenagers all night and then be at work at 7 am, talk about bootyness!

Had a productive day today, got everything I needed done. I even sat down at the piano for awhile, my composition is coming along quite nicely if I do say so myself (hopefully without sounding arrogant). Went and hung out w/ mom for awhile while we waited for my pics to get developed. Ended up buying 5 movies, okay I can now comfortably admit that I have a problem, I just don't know how to fix it ::breaks down and cries::. . .I am a movie junkie! Went to Philly's and bought mom and I some food, came home and tried to relax for a very brief period of time! With that being said, I'm going to kick it old school for awhile now and chill. I'll catch y'all on the flipside--peace out!

Two extremely weird propositions all within a matter of 4 hours. Two completely different things from two people as opposite as night and day. While I felt one might have been a little more heartfelt, the other I'm not sure the intention of or whether even to really take it seriously. So after I got one burden taken away, another one replaced it. I never thought I would have the capability to hurt someone as much as I might be. Rejection of one in order to get over feelings for another. Don't know what I want or how to go about getting it even when I figure it out. I wish I could go back to 5th grade when I thought so & so was cute and gave him a Looney Tunes valentine and that was as complex as the world of the opposite sex got. ::frustration::. . .Wow, definitely need someone who's experienced in this department to offer some advice b/c I'm stumped. <lj:music>"Someone to Watch Over Me"--Ella Fitzgerald</lj:music>

Okay, first off my apologies if this doesn't make a ton of sense, I'm hungover. So after the shitty day I had yesterday, I decided to have a little fun. I went to an early dinner with Austin, we went and got Chinese before he had to go into work. Not the most enlightening dinner conversation but enough to help cheer me up. Then after that I decided I was going to go to New Orleans. I decided to be spontaneous so I drove to New Orleans with like $2.00 on me and what not. Called once I hit Slidell and told Ryan he better be home and to start getting cleaned up. Went over to his place where he told me I was dressed a little too slutty for my own good, so he raided his sister's closet and made me dress a little more respectable as he so eloquently put it. So we went clubbin/bar-hoppin for awhile. But, considering the last time we did this it ended a litle too rough, I opted to stay sober for that part of the evening. Later on he called Miles to come take care of me b/c he needed to go home and study. So, Miles met Ryan and I in the quarters where they did a swap on me. From there Miles and I walked around the quarters for awhile while I explained to him everything that was going on. Normally Miles is the sane, reasonable, logical one I always count on, but even after the story I told him he understood my postion. So he told me that it sounded like I was having a rough-day so he bought me a hand grenade, even though he tries to discourage my drinking. We ended up at the Riverwalk, me pretty inebriated and him amused at my state (I'm always a fun drunk). It was like Desiree Gone Wild! So we sat on a park bench for quite sometime talking. He said one thing that just kind of stuck in my mind. He said, "one day hopefully you'll be lucky enough to find a guy who judges you on the beauty of your heart instead of the beauty of your face." Then he paid one of the street performers who stands on the Riverwalk to play "Summertime" for me. So as picturesque as it was, I'm sure it looked funny to other people to see this 65 year old black man dancing with a little white girl. Just sitting there watching the moon on the Mississippi reminded me of how much I love New Orleans. So we decided to head home and continue the party there. Miles made me sit down at the piano and practice for what seemed like forever. He went in the kitchen to make us something to eat. Imagine an old black man cooking pasta trying to sing Italian and you have Miles. He told me he wanted me to work on "Rhapsody in Blue" so we sat down for probably close to 4 hours and I think I worked my way up to page 14 I think. With all the distractions I'm surprised I made it that far, but when you're drunk and angry and everything else, music is a great out. Miles thought I needed to talk to Grams so he called her in the midst of all this, where was my Grams to be found? A pub of course, so we talked to her for quite sometime, she's trying to persuade me to come live with her now worse than ever. Miles had an old Cole Porter album playing in the background (ahhh, lovely). So later on during our poker game I get a call and decided to answer this one, the only one I've answered since Monday night. It was my Matthieu! He just talked to me about how school was going and what his new crusade to save the world was. I miss him, he was a cool guy to hang out with. So after getting Miles drunk to and beating his ass in poker, Matthieu told us he needed to get to work so I hung up and made another drink. Then at about 5:30 this morning Miles decides he wants to dance, so he puts on some Benny Goodman and we're blasting it swinging at the wee hours of the morning, it was freakin' awesome. He can definitely still dance for an old guy. So I eventually passed out on the floor and slept for like an hour or two, he made me eat some breakfast and sober up so I could come home. I just got home a short time ago and I think I'm gonna meet up with Cindy and go to the gym for awhile before I have to go to the dance team meeting and then meet up w/ my kids. And then definitely sleep for Desiree tonight. Alright I'm out now to nurse my hangover and try to make myself more physically attractive. I'll catch ya on the flipside--peace!

"Dreams were never meant to be easy. . .they come true, not free!"

I am the biggest fuckin idiot in the world. I've been played like a freshmen being asked to the senior prom. I spent so much time saying that it wasn't like that when in all honesty it was. I don't know who I was trying to fool. I'm so fucking tired of bending over backwards trying to do nice things for people and make sure that they're happy, just for them to fuck me over or be unappreciated. What the fuck was I thinking? I need to make a phone call and do some serious damage control because I fucked up something that had the potential to be really good for something that I wanted more. Quit dreamin Desiree, it ain't gonna happen. I can't remember the last time I was this hurt or pissed off. This all goes back to the same thing I've been told my entire life, "sorry, she's prettier, or hotter, or easier." Well, you know what FUCK YOU, good luck trying to get some stupid ass hoe to do everything that I did and would've done for you. I guess the only way to get ahead in this world is to spread your legs for everybody, so with that being said, I'm gonna go get some Chinese!

Ummm. . .okay, I'll make this short since I update too frequently supposedly? Not a lot to report on. I've just got a lot to do the next couple of days.

1) I need to disconnect my cpu so I can get my desktop fixed.
2) Go to New Orleans to Navy Federal and deposit settlement payment.
3) Go to post office so I can mail Micah's stuff before he moves again.
4) Go to Petsmart and get more food for Fluffy.
5) Try to help plan funeral arrangements.
6) Get kids together and go thru with tomorrow night's activites.
7) Reschedule all of Saturday's activities for next Saturday.
8) Call Grams (attempt to get ahold of her, since she's gone MIA) and thank her for all the stuff she sent.
9) Call Charlie and find out if I'm still needed to go to the Children's Library.
10) Attend a cheerleading meeting before I catch the wrath of Ms. Mag.

And I'm sure there's quite a few other things I need to do, but this is all I can currently remember. Got a bunch to do tomorrow so I'll end it here. Catch ya on the flipside!
